The carpet now matches the drapes
For the last couple months, the forum looked radically different from the rest of the site. Most importantly, there was no link in the forums to get back onto the main site.
That oversight has been corrected.
The forum template is a barely modified version of prosilver that comes with phpBB 3, so it will look very familiar. However, I have now wrapped it in the template for the rest of the site. It won't update dynamically, which is annoying, so any changes I make to the Joomla template that runs the rest of the site (except the bugtracker) will not be automatically propagated to here. I'll just have to remember to modify both (and eventually three) templates and then clear out the phpBB template cache. So it goes.
Anyhow, I will soon be including a box with the latest discussion threads on the frontpage to spur people clicking through and posting. Unfortunately, I may have to restrict anonymous posting a little, because I am having to delete around 10 spam posts a day. Hopefully that won't deter too many people.
Back to the salt mines.
